There is purpose in your placement. Wherever you are today for work or leisure, it is not by accident. Even if you don't like being in that place, know it's an assignment. Sometimes we are there because of what God needs to get to others; often we are there because of what God needs us to see, hear, or experience. God speaks and works in even dark places.
God isn't afraid of your questions. Go ahead and ask "What is my assignment or lesson in this place? " Oh, the answer may not quickly be revealed, and you may not get a response until after you have left. But the question moves you from lament to a place of surrender and "thank you."
Today I thank God for all of the placements that made no sense. All the relocations others couldn't understand. With each move and shift I had to learn to trust God for finances, a church, sanity, peace, friends, and protection. In isolated places I found God to be friend, shepherd, peace, waymaker, and mind regulator!
God, help those reading this today know that you are in the midst of wherever they are. Let them know that you are mindful of them, even if the place they are in feels more like hell instead of holy ground. Give them courage for their assignment, and spiritual eyes to see that even in uncomfortable places, your power is still at work! Amen
As always, continue to #looknlive.
